Moving Day

Day 2645

Just heard from the kids.  Thursdays cervix scratching has produced contractions, but they haven’t progressed into labor.  They’ve just left for the hospital to have Jill’s water broken.   Looks like we’ll be learning our grand daughters name within a day or so.

Can I still call them kids once they become parents?

  1. Yes. I call my nieces ‘the girls’ all the time. One’s in college, one’s getting married, and the ‘baby’ is fifteen.

Also, my kid will always be ‘my sweet, sweet baby’. Even when I’m ninety and she’s in her late sixties. It just works that way.

    Congratulations, by the way.

Why thanks Patty – and congrats to you too! A new grandchild is quite a thrill. March will be here before you know it. (Lets hope, eh? It would mean a nice, short winter!)
