Always tweaking something!

Some of what I done did on my vacay

Took a day trip to see this place. This outer pyramid was built around 800 AD. There is an inner pyramid that was built around 800 BC. All done with no metal tools.

Edited because the Mayans did NOT build their pyramids sideways.

Totally worth the time spent to get there. The unfortunate thing about this particular site are the ‘arts & crafts’ vendors that set up shop on the paths between the individual buildings on the site. They are WAY aggressive with their sales techniques. Rather off-putting.

Chichen Itza. We went there on our honeymoon and had great tales to tell after getting searched by a machine gun toting soldier near Merida.

Chichen Itza is absolutely correct, but we stayed on the other side of the peninsula in Cancun. But searched by machine gun toting soldiers? Thank god no! That’s a little too much excitement for me. I’d probably blurt out some smart-ass comment and get shot.

Oh, just you wait till you hear (read) about what fine time we had Tuesday & Wednesday. Thursday – Saturday were great, but those first two days were a real test.
