All New “About” page
As of June 2011, I’ve been a son for 52.5 years, brother for 51, husband for 29.75 a father for 26+ and in 5 short months I will get to add “grandfather” to my resume. Always working on something – remodeling projects, landscaping projects, self improvement projects. In the summer, when I’m not working on the house, yard or for the man, you can find me golfing with my boys or riding my bike almost anywhere in western NY. In the winter when I’m not tromping around in the woods chasing deer, I retreat inside and try to break bowling pins in half. Unless I’m out snow blowing the driveway or spinning my butt off at the gym.
I R an engineer, electronics variety. Cindy, the spousal unit, is a school secretary. Zach is also an engineer, civil variety and recently hitched to Jill, a dental hygienist and full time incubator. Eric got himself a history degree and is now a county sheriff, guarding the bad guys in jail. His fiance, Kelly, just graduated from Nursing school. Eric & Kelly are getting hitched in July. We are all so excited we can’t sit still.
For now, this will have to do. As other things become pertinent, I may remember to add them here.
Oh yeah, here’s a thing to add – as of March 7, my employer gave me a 6 month notice – I’m not being invited back. I am combing the eastern half of the country trying to find a job as a Biomedical Engineering Tech or a Radiology Equipment Engineer. It’s a bit of a departure from my stbx job (designing the stuff, rather than fixing it), but it’s time I crawled out from behind a desk and got a more “hands on” job.

I think that I’d have to go with the Who as the better Pinball Wizard version….Am I right?

You should really consider looking here in the RTP, NC area for engineer work. In spite of the current economy, there seem to be MANY jobs available in highly specified fields. From what I understand, SAS is a great place to work *(It may be listed as ‘Cary’ rather than RTP.)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

Hey there. I followed your blog back from my own. Liking the bio you’ve written, particularly “reformed smoker.” Then I see where the post before this one mentions Research Triangle Park in Raleigh. (I lived there, too!) As a current job hunter and covert Establishment loather, I wish you all the best in personal and career.
Take care out there on the roads with your two-wheeler.
